The Macomb High boys tennis team wrapped up the regular season Monday at the MHS tennis courts with a 5-0 dual meet victory over Galesburg.
The Bombers finished dual meet competition with a season record of 9-3.
Singles results were as follows. No. 1 - Jun Yoshimura, Macomb defeated Mohamed Shehata, Galesburg H.S., 6-3, 6-1.
No. 2 - Jaydn Glaue, Macomb defeated Charlie Hayden, Galesburg H.S., 6-0, 6-3.
Doubles results were as follows. No. 1 - Marc Simmons and Alex Simmons, Macomb defeated Bennett Smith and Jackson Archer, Galesburg H.S., 6-0, 6-1.
No. 2 - Cohen Green and David Simmons, Macomb defeated Vincent Ikrami and Andrew Kennedy, Galesburg H.S., 6-3, 6-1.
No. 3 - Cooper Smith and Owen Kennedy, Macomb defeated Trayson Mcvey and Isaac Jones Rhoades, Galesburg H.S., 6-1, 6-0.
The Bombers will head to Dunlap Saturday for Illinois High School Association Class 1A Sectional competition.
Joining the Bombers and host Eagles will be East Peoria, Galesburg H.S., Limestone, Morton, Peoria Notre Dame, Peoria Christian and Peoria Richwoods.
The top four singles players and top four doubles teams will qualify for the IHSA Class 1A State Finals, scheduled for May 29-31 at Palatine.
